My leishmaniasis question has difficult company in the chemistry and endocrine papers.

## Skin, brain and nerve injury

The [mouse skin-infection paper](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12096890/) gives the home essay its question about heightened sensitivity and an unchanged baseline. The [rat brain-endotoxin experiment](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14580936/) changes both route and challenge.

For PAT, the [chronic constriction injury study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12763077/) and the [brain-endotoxin study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21059360/) test a thymulin analogue. The [rat inflammatory-pain study involving spinal signalling](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30851702/) uses thymulin itself. The preparation names do useful work for me here: they stop related findings from becoming a single sprawling claim.

## Zinc chemistry and endocrine experiments

The [zinc-interaction review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18476235/) addresses the peptide's active form. The [human marrow-precursor cell study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/6969145/) concerns T-cell markers in culture, while the [rat pituitary-cell study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9483196/) measures ACTH release.

The [thymus–neuroendocrine review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19236333/) gives those connections a wider physiological setting. The [athymic-mouse gene-therapy paper](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21952687/) follows a different preparation into hormone development.

## Human rheumatology studies

The [controlled nonathymulin trials](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3310925/) and the [open FTS-Zn trial](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3427844/) both involved rheumatoid-arthritis patients. Their designs and preparations differ.
